Each year, long before Hobby Lobby starts putting out the Christmas décor, I start to dream of the theme for our family Christmas dinner. This past year I decided upon the black and red buffalo plaid design. Not only for my family Christmas dinner, I also incorporated it into my gift giving.
Buffalo Plaid Christmas!
I thought the arrangement would be my centerpiece for the table, but soon it was replaced by two adorable reindeer.
I had my eye on them for so long, I decided this was the year to have them for my table centerpiece. At least until the meal was served.
And one thing led to another, as it always does.
I found so much buffalo plaid, it filled my cart to the brim...but I kept it simple and took almost everything out of my shopping cart. Almost everything.
And loved layering the black and red plates, which I already had! Thank goodness I needed them years ago.
Weeks before the dinner, I ironed and tied a buffalo plaid ribbon around each napkin. Then they were ready just when I needed them.
A few days before the dinner, I always set the table. Making sure everything was in it's place. Like the ornaments filled with coal.
A little floral décor was the perfect touch I added to a vase on the sofa table.
It was just enough.
It was just enough.
Can't wait to show you the Center Island...I went mad with PLAID!
You always make your dinner table look so amazing! This is such a fun and casual theme for Christmas, but you made it look elegant and beautiful.
