The Partiologist: Movie Night!

Movie Night!

Hi everyone, how are you? It's been awhile since I've posted anything, I really wanted to, but didn't know if it would be appropriate. So I typed and deleted, typed and deleted. Today I decided I would finish typing and actually publish.

I'm such a planner and right now not many party plans are being made, so I decided to make the best of the situation we're all in. Instead of just having a "movie night" for my family, I decided to have Apple Nacho  "MOVIE NIGHT" for my family and thought I would share.

MOVIE NIGHT

I remembered I had a few movie night themed cut outs, I'm not sure why, maybe in case I had a "Movie Night"? Anyway, I found the decor and then added more red, white and black to the mix. We ordered pizza and the rest was up to me.

I decided to make "Apple Nachos" for dessert. Way easier than caramel apples and so much fun to take a slice and decide upon the toppings.

You know, each slice can have it's own toppings?

They were so loaded with toppings, we ended up using a knife and fork to eat. And a spoon to scoop up any morsel left on our plate.

And talk about toppings.

I almost forgot, caramel and chocolate were the main attraction, and as soon as they were melted, we spooned them on top of each slice and topped with all these goodies.

Chopped Walnuts
Mini M & M's
Chopped Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Coconut
Mini Chocolate Chips
Butterfingers Pieces

That was just one tray. Here's the other.

Mini Marshmallows
Peanuts
Toffee Bits
Graham Cracker Pieces
Mini Oreos

I used photo frames to hold the movie decor.

But first...the popcorn.

Movie Butter Popcorn.

Almost showtime!

And of course, if we needed a little more sweet, the apple nacho bar was only a few steps away.

Did you notice... I'm trying to use only one space between sentences. I think that's what the younger generation does and I don't want double spacing giving away my secret! It's not normal for me, so I must think about it every time I type. Which is probably good for my brain.

I hope each and everyone of you is staying safe and most of all staying healthy! How are you spending your time and are you ready for more blog posts?

  6. One of the fun movie things we did during the lockdown, was to buy a 100 classic movies poster. This has 100 scratch off panels with movies hidden behind. We scratch one off each night and watch whatever comes up. Sometimes films we would never go to see turn out to be brilliant. Candy Floss Crazy
