Sometimes the cookies just work as planned. And sometimes they don't. Trust me when I say I'm the fist to admit if they didn't turn out, And stress and worry about them. But then again, I'm the first to say when they do turn out and love them.
Today I'm saying I LOVE THEM!
Hawaiian Sugar Cookies!
Can you feel the island vibes? I sure can.
I had the perfect spot to serve them on the tropical counter I created.
Guests could grab and go. Or grab and stay awhile.
And when I found this cookie cutter with an ALOHA imprint, I knew I had to order.
Perfect for the chocolate cookies, which I filled in with royal icing.
How sweet is that? Pretty sweet, it was sweet chocolate with more sweet on top.
I'm not sure how to tell you this, but I have an entire table filled with more desserts.
If you're still with me, take a deep breath and get ready for more.
Pretzels swaying in the breeze.
Palm tree inspired chocolate dipped pretzels. And these my friends, were a lot of work. Like, A. LOT. OF. WORK.
Each palm leaf was individually made, let dry and placed on the pretzel. Then the chocolate sixlet coconuts were added.
Can you see what I mean? And then they needed to be carefully placed on the serving tray. The most fragile palm trees you'll ever see.
If you have a few days free time, let me know and I'll tell you how to make the palm tree pretzels.
Each chocolate dipped caramel apple tied with a tropical birthday tag.
The only reason I had to make the apples was because I had the perfect straws to cover the stick.
More time in the tropics, less time in the kitchen.
My new motto.
As always, LOVE all your creations! The pineapples with the sunglasses are my favorites...if I was forced to pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much, I kind of liked those too! :)
