The Partiologist: Gourmet Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Gourmet Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Okay party people, did you know that Mother's day is right around the corner?  In fact it's exactly two weeks from tomorrow.  One of my favorite treats is chocolate covered strawberries.   I decided to take it up a notch and add a few more toppings!  I think any mom would like love these~

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

And yes, I accidentally tasted one.  So now I know for sure, Mom WOULD like these!  Maybe some mom's like breakfast in bed, but I would just as soon have a plate of chocolate covered strawberries.  I have never eaten a pancake or a bowl of cereal.  Dry cereal yes, but cereal floating around in milk?  I just don't get it.  Mix cereal with marshmallows and I'll eat it.  Dip cereal in chocolate  I'll eat it!  Right out of the box in the car, I'll eat it!  But getting all soggy in milk???  NO WAY!  Anyway, back to the strawberries.  Wash the berries~
Then dry them thoroughly~
With a napkin!
Line a cookie sheet with parchment~
Gather up your toppings~
Mini M&M's, Coconut, Mini Chocolate Chips and Pecan Pieces.
Melt some chocolate~
Dipped the strawberries in the chocolate and then the toppings and place on the parchment.
Refrigerate until firm.
And package them up for Mom~
What's on your plate?  Pancakes or Strawberries?
Chocolate...It's what's for Breakfast!

  11. This looks scrumptious! Back in college, we had a tradition called Strawberry Breakfast to celebrate the end of the school year. The cafeteria got beautified and covered with bowls of fresh strawberries, lots of whipped cream, stations for pancakes and waffles, and other brunch goodies. Thanks for reminding me of that!
