The Partiologist: Conversation Heart Party - Table Decor

Conversation Heart Party - Table Decor

This post contains a lot of party information....Please grab a cup of coffee or something you love, and drink according while trying to take it all in.  I will not be held responsible for any partying before 9:00 a.m.

Tulle Valentine Décor

Don't you think it's time to take a look at the table décor?  I wanted something that would work throughout the entire tablescape.  What would it be?

Tulle...Beautiful...Inexpensive...Tulle
In all the colors of the rainbow Conversation Hearts!

First of all, I made the Tablecloth...

Out of a Shower Curtain.

A NEW White Shower Curtain.

After cutting four 24" lengths of each color of tulle I tucked all of one color through the metal ring.
Pull the loop down and bring the ends through.
Then pull it tight.
I did this with each color and and repeated.
So there you have the table cloth that I hung across the center of the table.
Oh, doesn't that look so pretty?  And someday this invention is going to make me millions, I just know it!  But until then, a blogging I will go!

I then took more of the tulle and tied a 24" length of each color around each arm of my light fixture.  That poor light fixture is always a part of my party décor!
It looks like it's wearing a little skirt.  Next I'll showcase my "Dollar Tree" Dinning!

Yep, these pretty little plates came from the dollar store.  I set a salad plate on the dinner plate and then wrapped them up like a package.  Tucked in a napkin and placed each on 12" x 12" colored card stock.
Pretty Pretty Placesettings wouldn't you say?

Down the center of the table were some candles.
And No, the little hearts didn't just "fall" in with the sayings facing outside!  You know, it's all in the details!

I put a take home favor by each place setting. You know in case they didn't have enough already. This favor you can't eat. Well, you could eat it but it wouldn't taste too good and you might get sick.  Remember the candy corn sugar scrub I made?

Well, I really liked it and this time I found real fragrance and coloring.

Just in case you don't want to spend money on coloring...you can use food color. In fact I made a sugar scrub with brown (and lots of it) food color, trying to get myself a tan, but nope, it didn't leave me anything but soft and sweet!

I'm One Of A Find!
