Muffin, Muffin, who has the muffin? I hosted the back to school party in the morning, just so I could have muffins. And I wanted my muffins to be cute, so I had to find a way to schoolify them. This is what I came up with~
Bus Stop Muffins!
Bus Stop Muffins!
After they were baked, I placed them in extra large cupcake wrappers and added a bus to the top.
The entire class would have been disappointed if I didn't serve my world famous Blueberry Muffins.
Okay, they're not world famous yet, but someday they will be.
After ordering the plastic apple containers, I wanted to make a small muffin to fit inside.
An apple muffin served in an apple container - clever, right?
Tucked inside the plastic apple container, simple, right? Wrong.
Would you believe I tried THREE recipes until I found the perfect apple muffin.
After six dozen apple muffins, you would think I would quit.
No, I sent out a cry for help on Facebook, wondering if anyone would hear.
They heard my cries and directed me to this recipe and saved the day.
Keeping with the morning muffin theme, I made donuts in my baby cakes donut maker~
Chocolate Chip Donuts, topped with chocolate and chips.
If they wanted something a little crunchy, I had that taken care of too~
Oh yea, grade A granola bars. A little bit crunchy, a little bit rock n' roll.
After wrapping them, I tied a little piece of bakers twine to make them cute.
My husband asked if I really had to wrap and tie each one. Hello...have you just met me??
Added ABC crackers using the Williams Sonoma Animal Cracker recipe.
And after all these goodies, let's not forget...muffin top. Just sayin'.
Muffin, Muffin, Who's Making Muffins?
your hubby comment made me LOL as mine asks me if i'm crazy and i tell him "no you are cuz you married me!" heehee your treats are soooo cute!
ReplyDeleteSo funny Lisa - my daughter always says to her dad..."You married her"!!
DeleteI haven't "met" you yet, but so understand your attention to detail! I do hope me actually meet someday:)
ReplyDeleteSo with all of these goodies and all the sweets, I'm curious, what did the kids eat first? I can't even imagine choosing. Even as an adult my eyes would have popped out of my head as I walked into the room to see your amazing spread of food.
I look forward to the day we meet and get to shop in big bargain bins!! I'm really not sure what they went for first - they may have been a bit overwhelmed!! When the party was over, most every treat was out of the classroom!
DeleteI love this back to school theme! Please tell me you have more!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOnly one more post of the party table - you're probably the only one who wants more!! :)
DeleteI absolutely love these! You are so creative! Tim's comment made me laugh out loud! I could hear the whole conversation in my head so clearly!!! I can't imagine what the kids' reactions were to all your goodies! Talk about being spoiled! Nobody else's party will ever stack up against yours!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
CHEERON!!!!!!
Yep, he just doesn't get it, why would I NOT wrap and tie the granola bars??? I had a wonderful time creating this party for the kids!
DeleteI love the look of the topping on those muffins, they look scrumptious, I wouldn't even need the cute toppers to tempt me. Wow your back to school activites are pretty awesome. I am usually still covering books right up until we jump in the car. Well done :)
ReplyDeleteI do think the top of the muffins is the best part! Trust me, when my kids were small and in school, this party would not have happened! Now that I have the time, I did it for my nieces and nephews and had a blast doing it.
DeleteAwesome, I love the muffins with the toppers, such a cute idea Kim.
ReplyDeleteAnd the letters, I love the letters and the granola bars I love them too. I love it all!
Those little letters were the best - I used a Williams Sonoma recipe for animal crackers - I ate all the leftover abc's~
DeleteNo one can ever accuse you of not being dedicated to your craft! This is yet another of my favourite party themes of yours (they keep adding up!) I love the apple muffins in their apple containers and the school bus toppers. That photo of the lunch box filled with cookie letters is so eye-catching and I'm sure your husband could see how wrapping and twining the granola bars made them just pop!
ReplyDeleteI know that not everyone at the party noticed every detail - so I appreciate you noticing everything! I don't know if my husband even saw the granola bars on the table...lol
DeleteCute, cute, cute!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, thanks, thanks! :)
DeleteA wee bit late but just had to add to all the compliments...I totally agree. You always blow us away with all you do. And don't kid me I bet y ou are a "skinny minny" too....I just look at your site and gain 10 pounds.
ReplyDeleteQuestion - the letter cookies.....was that a cookie or cracker recipe from WM or was it one of their bagged mixes? Can't wait for your next theme.
Thanks Lexy! The recipe was the animal cracker recipe from Williams Sonoma - not a mix. It is delicious!
DeleteHI,
ReplyDeleteI am having trouble finding the Gi Gi Gingerbread cookie recipe.
and the World Famous Blueberry muffins recipe.
Can you tell me how to find them?
I tried lots of ways on your page...just could not find them
Thank You,
Yvette
Hi Yvette - the reason you cannot find my world famous muffin recipe is because I haven't posted it yet. Hopefully, it will appear in a book some day. For the gingerbread cookies, I just used a recipe I found in my Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. If you have trouble finding it online, let me know and I'll try and find it for you! :)
