The Partiologist: Gingerbread Birthday Cookies!

Gingerbread Birthday Cookies!

Do you think it was weird that I made gingerbread cookies for a Birthday Party in March?  Let me tell you why...I had a stamp.  An imprint stamp that said Happy Birthday and I wanted to use it.  Gingerbread was the first cookie that came to mind which wouldn't have to be frosted, leaving the message perfectly clear.

What I'm really trying to say is, Gingerbread... it's not just for Christmas!

Gingerbread Birthday Cookies!

I have to confess, I sort of frosted them anyway.  With Chocolate!

Melted chocolate, spread a little on the back of each cookie.

Gingerbread + Chocolate = YUM!

Ready to move over to the buffet?  Remember, this party could be used for any occasion, with any color. Polka dot and stripe décor come in ALL colors - Just change it up!

Wanting to continue with the polka dot and stripe theme, I added ribbon to the buffet.

The banner was the backdrop with coffee filter/cupcake paper rosettes on each end.

Four chafing dishes were waiting to be filled with...

Ina Garten's Oven Roasted Bacon
Honey Baked Ham
Pecan Waffles with Cinnamon Maple Syrup
Berry Baked Oatmeal
Pepper and Onion Three Cheese Quiche

I was thrilled when I came across the black and white polka dot birthday napkins at Target.

And of course I made my famous Blueberry Muffins!

No brunch would be complete without them.

This is the spot for those Gingerbread Birthday Cookies.

Along with homemade granola in polka dot party cups.

Popcorn bars to fill the polka dot bags.

I had to do it.  "50 Sucks"

Fresh fruit filled acrylic polka dot bowls.

One of these days I'll share my deviled egg recipe which contains surprise ingredients.  Funny thing...I had never eaten a deviled egg until I made this recipe, let's just say, it has a kick!

After brunch, we played games.  And won prizes...

Black and white note cards.  There was some serious game playing going on, everyone wanted to win because they knew there would be prizes. I have more...

Dots & Stripes!
