Most of my shopping experiences end up with me coming home with everything except what I went to buy in the first place. I don't know, maybe you could say I'm easily distracted by all the cute stuff I see in the Valentine isle. If people didn't think it was weird, I would totally make myself a Valentine box and wait for it to be filled with sweet little notes. I realize if I did that, it would sit in my kitchen empty and there would be no class party.
I tried to stay away from all the Valentine cuteness, but it eventually got the best of me. Hello Target's Dollar Spot! They put it right in the front of the store for people like me...those that can't walk past it. Truthfully, if they put it in the back of the store, I would find it. I was amazed how many people didn't even stop to take a look. I'm like...really, did you just walk right on by without even taking a glance? I took more than a glance and came home with adorable 3D stickers. Then I made treats to match.
Rice Krispie Treats

Now you see why I had to buy them?
They're not only perfect for hand made Valentine Cards, they are the perfect way to turn something ordinary into an extraordinary!
That being a Rice Krispie Treat!
I knew the stickers would look perfect on gold straws for the drizzled RKT.
Did you notice the gold, white and pink sprinkles?
Yep, to match the stickers.
Yep, to match the stickers.
I mean, seriously cute.
You can even buy the Rice Krispie Treats ready to decorate.
Of course, I made mine.
First I filled my melting pot with white candy melts.
Then I added pink CANDY color (NOT food color) to the melts.
I used white, pink and gold sprinkles, gold straws and the 3D Valentine Stickers.
After making the pan of RKT, I cut them into rectangles and inserted a lollipop stick.
And then added the gold straw over the lollipop stick.
And then added the gold straw over the lollipop stick.
Next was the fun part.
Fill a piping bag with the melted candy pink and white candy melts and drizzle back and forth over the RKT until almost completely covered.
Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle with the pink, white and gold sprinkles.
A Golden Valentine.
Happy Valentine's Day!
