The Partiologist: Parisian Desserts!

Parisian Desserts!

Let me say I tried.  Tried to do it all, make the food, take the photos, and by the time I finished with each dessert, I barely had energy to take photos, let alone make a tutorial.  So as you noticed, there are no tutorials, but a lot of eye candy.  I do think you'll love the way I turned my counter into a patisserie full of desserts.

Gramma Gigi's Patisserie!

What I really need is a professional photographer at each of my parties.  One who's not running around setting everything out and hoping for good natural lighting. Maybe next time. Or maybe not.

And don't worry about the empty white bowls, they were eventually filled!!

I had the Eiffel tower centered on the island with two black candlesticks to each side.  The pink and white table runner coordinated with the table cloth on the table HERE.

It wouldn't be a patisserie without the Madeleine!  Not my favorite dessert, but dipping them in chocolate and pecans made them lovable!

The domed glass cloche held the French Vanilla Cheesecake.

Each topped with a pink poodle.

In the center of the table were chocolate Bouchon cakes.

Each topped with ganache and an edible gold fleur de les, made with a mold and painted with edible gold luster.

I made the toppers ahead of time and placed them on the cakes right before serving.

Served in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Notice the domes they were placed under?

Come back tomorrow when I'll be serving up the Paris themed cookies.

Bon Appetit!
